The Grand Domaine Ski Area
The Modern Skiing area with a Tradition. Original natural landscapes and real Savoyian flair characterize the sunny skiing region of the Grand Domaine between the Massif du Cheval Noir and the Massif de la Lauzière. The approximately 3600 hectar large area underneath the Col de la Madeleine owes it charm to the cosy skiing village Valmorel la Belle that was built in the seventies, but if you didn’t know, you would think it would be a typical mountain village of the French Alps.
Chalets from wood and stone in an authentic style were preferred to functional concrete constructions, so that Valmorel fits perfectly into the landscape. At the same time, the family-friendly skiing village offers the comfort of a modern skiing station with short paths and a complete range of service and leisure offers.
The slopes of the Grand Domaine come to a total of 165 kilometres, are correspondingly versatile and have something to offer for beginners, advanced, and professionals.
